The kettle is constructed with all-welded #4-finish stainless steel, type 304. The Southbend KELT kettle's interior liner is stainless steel type 316. The Southbend KELT kettle's steam jacket surrounds the lower two-thirds of the kettle. The controls are integrally mounted and include a power switch, thermostat, pilot light, low water light, vacuum/pressure gauge, safety relief valve, and low water shut off. The tilt mechanism has self-locking positive-stop action. KELT-25 … kettle models tilt for complete emptying. The console is drip proof and stainless steel clad, supported on an all-welded 1-5/8” (41 mm) diameter stainless steel pipe frame and legs fitted with four-hole adjustable flanged feet.
