KELT-30F. The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are self-generating steam kettles. The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are full-jacketed. The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are tilting kettles. The KELT-30F kettle has a rated capacity of 30 gallons (114 liters). The KELT-30F kettle has 18 kW available as standard. The 18 kW electrical configuration is single phase. The 18 kW electrical configuration has a 240 V rating for its single-phase configuration. The 18 kW, 240 V, single-phase electrical configuration draws 75.0 amps per line. The kettle's tilt mechanism is sealed stainless steel, tilts the kettle forward a full 90° for complete emptying, and is self-locking for positive stop action. When the power switch is on and the temperature control knob is dialed, the temperature pilot light illuminates and contactors close to power the elements. Steam generation continues until the preselected temperature is reached; the cycle repeats as jacket-water temperature drops slightly, maintaining the selected cooking temperature. The heating elements are thermostatically controlled to provide precise temperatures throughout the range from slow simmer to rolling boil.
