Category: Floor Steam Kettles. DMT-40S. Southbend DMT and DMS kettle models are direct-steam models. Southbend direct-steam kettle models have a 2/3 kettle-body steam jacket. Southbend DMT steam-jacketed kettle models have the tilting configuration. The DMT-40S and DMS-40S models each have a listed capacity of 40 gallons (151 liters). The DMT models require incoming steam pressure from 5 to 30 psi (34 to 207 kPa). The DMT models are rated for 115 V electrical supply. The DMT models are rated for single-phase electrical supply. DMT models have a 1/2 H.P. hydraulic system for tilting, allowing complete emptying of contents; tilting may be stopped at any time without the kettle tilting back.
