The Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 tilting skillets are electrically heated. BELM-40. The BELM-40 tilt skillet has a 40-gallon capacity (152 liters). The Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 electric tilting skillets are specified to operate on 208 VAC, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz. The BELM-40 tilt skillet draws 86.5 A per line at 208 V, 1 phase. The BELM-40 tilt skillet has a rated electrical input of 18 kW. The Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 electrically heated skillets have manual tilt. The thermostatic controls on the Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 skillets have a lowest setting of 160°F (71°C). The thermostatic controls on the Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 skillets have a highest setting of 445°F (229°C). The pan is formed from 10 gauge 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish exterior and polished interior with coved corners for easy cleaning. The skillet is heated by electric elements cast embedded in a full 1-3/8" (35 mm) thick aluminum casting bolted to the underside of the pan for even heat distribution across the entire surface.
