The open burners have a 28,000 BTU (8 kW) low-simmer feature. … The cast-iron burners are standard on all Elements Series ranges and lift off for easy cleaning; they have no gaskets or screws. Each Elements Series open burner uses a standing pilot as its ignition type. The front and back grates measure 12 in x 12 in (305 x 279 mm). The grates are sized for positioning large stock pots directly over the burner and feature a hot-air dam. Pots slide easily from section to section and onto the landing ledge. The grates are cast iron. The range has a stainless-steel front, backguard, shelf, landing ledge, and kick plate, with aluminized-steel sides. It has a large 5 in (127 mm) stainless-steel landing ledge, durable plastic control knobs, and a full-width removable crumb tray under the open burners for easy cleaning. The ER-4 range is listed with a depth of 34 1/4 in (895 mm). Elements Series gas ranges require 6 in (152 mm) clearance from combustible surfaces. Elements Series gas ranges require 0 in clearance from non-combustible surfaces.
