The Southbend Counterline charbroiler is a countertop model. HDC-60 and HDCL-60 charbroilers are listed for natural-gas input of 200,000 BTU/hr. HDC-60 and HDCL-60 charbroilers have 10 burners at 20,000 BTU each. The supplied cooking grates are cast iron. The charbroiler's cooking grates are removable and two-sided. Each burner of the Southbend Counterline charbroiler is serviced by one standing pilot. Each straight burner is controlled by a gas valve for independent flame control. The charbroiler has an exterior finish with front and sides constructed of #3 polished 430 and 304 stainless steel; the bottom and rear are aluminized steel. Each HDC and HDCL unit has a 3/4-inch gas connection. Each HDC and HDCL unit using natural gas requires a minimum supply pressure of 7 inches W.C. HDC and HDCL units must be installed under a vented hood.
