The elevated ice storage bin dispenses ice through a chute. The elevated ice storage bin uses gravity as its ice-dispensing mechanism. The system is compatible with cube ice, flake ice and customer preferred Chewblet® ice. The ITS1700SG-90 bin width (W1) is 90.00 in (228.6 cm). depth (D2) of 48.00 in (121.9 cm) with its door closed. The Follett ITS1700SG-90 bin height (H1) is 70.00 in (177.8 cm). The exterior of the bin and base is full stainless steel. The stainless steel bin top is custom-cut for the ice machine(s) to be used. Bin liner walls are non-corroding polyethylene and insulated with CARB-compliant non-HFC foam. The SmartGATE® ice shield controls the flow of ice to reduce spills and limit contact with ice. For the Follett ITS1700SG-90 bin when used with an ice machine weighing more than 1,000 lb (454 kg), a special top is required. When the special top is required for the Follett ITS1700SG-90 bin, it adds 2.12 in (5.38 cm) to the bin height.
