Electric Drop-In Waterless Dry Well. MDW500. Each Wells MDW dry well is designed to hold one standard full-size steam table pan up to six inches (152 mm) deep, or equivalent fractional pans, per well. Standard Wells MDW dry well units use 0.8 kW per well at 240 V. The MDW500 unit is specified as three phase (3Φ) at 240 V. The MDW500 unit total electrical input is 4 kW at 240 V, 3Φ. Wells MDW dry well units provide an individual control for each well. A built-in high limit switch prevents overheating. Wells MDW dry well units are constructed in the U.S.A. with a corrosion-resistant type 430 stainless steel body. Wells MDW dry well units are designed to be top-mounted. Wells patent-pending dry well units are designed to efficiently hold heated foods at safe serving temperatures without water or drains.
