The grates are constructed of cast iron and use a non-tilt design. Durable metal knobs with quarter-turn operation and gas regulators. Each Ultra-Max gas hot plate burner has a standing pilot. Each square-foot section uses an independently controlled two-piece burner. Each Ultra-Max gas hot plate burner is rated at 30,000 BTU using natural gas. The standard 802HA hot plate has a natural-gas input of 60,000 BTU per hour. The standard 802HA hot plate is 12 in (305 mm) wide. The standard 802HA hot plate is 32.25 in (819 mm) deep. The Ultra-Max gas hot plates have a 3/4-inch NPT male connection.
