The Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 tilting skillets are electrically heated. BELM-40. The BELM-40 tilt skillet has a 40-gallon capacity (152 liters). The BELM-40 tilt skillet is shown as a floor-standing unit with legs. The Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 electrically heated skillets have manual tilt. The pan is formed from 10 gauge 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish exterior and polished interior with coved corners for easy cleaning. The control enclosure is designed to meet NEMA-2 and provide protection against dripping and light splashing; the skillet also has a thermostat indicator light, a pan tilt switch that shuts elements off if tilted more than 5°, and a high-temperature cut-off set at 536°F (280°C). The thermostatic controls on the Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 skillets have a highest setting of 445°F (229°C). The Southbend BELM-30 and BELM-40 electric tilting skillets are specified to operate on 220 VAC, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz. rated electrical input of 18 kW. draws 81.8 A per line at 220 V, 1 phase.
