The KELT-40F is a steam kettle. The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are tilting kettles. The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are full-jacketed. The KELT-40F kettle has a rated capacity of 40 gallons (152 liters). The KELT-40F kettle has 18 kW available as standard. fuel type: electric. The 18 kW electrical configuration is single phase. The 18 kW electrical configuration has a 240 V rating for its single-phase configuration. The kettle's tilt mechanism is sealed stainless steel, tilts the kettle forward a full 90° for complete emptying, and is self-locking for positive stop action. When the power switch is on and the temperature control knob is dialed, the temperature pilot light illuminates and contactors close to power the elements. Steam generation continues until the preselected temperature is reached; the cycle repeats as jacket-water temperature drops slightly, maintaining the selected cooking temperature.
