The single-door upright ice storage bin provides manual ice removal with a scoop or shovel. The SG1160S-56 ice storage bin has a maximum bin capacity of 1,170 lb (531 kg), calculated on the cubic volume of the bin; the figure does not reflect voids that can occur due to pyramiding. The bin is compatible with cube ice, flake ice and customer preferred Chewblet® ice. The industry exclusive SmartGATE® ice shield controls the flow of ice to reduce spills and limit contact with ice. It locks in three positions and returns easily to the full down position even when the bin is full. The single-door upright ice storage bin drain has a 1.00 in FPT connection.
