The Southbend KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 are tilting mixer kettles. The KDMTL-40 mixer kettle has a capacity of 40 gallons (152 liters). The Southbend KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 kettles use direct steam for operation. The KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 mixer kettle models require incoming steam pressure of 5–30 PSI (34–207 kPa). The KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 mixer kettle models use a 3/4 in IPS steam supply connection. The Southbend KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 kettle steam jacket surrounds the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The console front shall have the main power switch, mixer lift switch and variable speed control. The mixer is a variable speed unit powered by a 5 hp electric motor driving a hydraulic pump. The Southbend KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 kettle tilt mechanism permits a full 90° tilt. The standard hydraulic power supply for the Southbend KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 is available at either 208 volts or 240 volts. The standard hydraulic power supply for the Southbend KDMTL-40, KDMTL-60, KDMTL-80 and KDMTL-100 operates at 60 hertz for either listed voltage option. The bridge shall be power tilt, and swing 140° out of the way for kettle tilting or cleaning.
