The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are self-generating steam kettles. The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are floor mounted. The KELT-20F kettle has a rated capacity of 20 gallons (76 liters). The KELT-20F kettle has 18 kW available as standard. The 18 kW electrical configuration is single phase. The 18 kW electrical configuration has a 220 V rating for its single-phase configuration. The 18 kW, 220 V, single-phase electrical configuration draws 81.8 amps per line. The jacket contains a permanent water-and-antifreeze solution that immerses and protects replaceable electric heating elements and provides the steam source. The kettle's tilt mechanism is sealed stainless steel, tilts the kettle forward a full 90° for complete emptying, and is self-locking for positive stop action. The heating elements are thermostatically controlled to provide precise temperatures throughout the range from slow simmer to rolling boil. The kettles are pressure vessels of double-wall construction, forming a sealed jacket or chamber around the kettle bowl surface.
