The Southbend KELT kettle is specified for 240 VAC, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz operation for 12 to 18 kW only. The KELT-SB 12 kW, 1-phase electrical configuration draws 50.0 amps per line at 240 V. The controls are integrally mounted and include a power switch, thermostat, pilot light, low water light, vacuum/pressure gauge, safety relief valve, and low water shut off. The kettle is constructed with all-welded #4-finish stainless steel, type 304. The Southbend KELT kettle's interior liner is stainless steel type 316. The Southbend KELT kettle's steam jacket surrounds the lower two-thirds of the kettle. The tilt mechanism has self-locking positive-stop action.
