The Southbend KDLS direct-steam tri-leg kettle's draw-off valve is 2 in (50 mm) in size. The KDLS-40F kettle has a capacity of 40 gallons (152 liters). The Southbend KDLS kettle has a steam jacket around the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The KDLS-20F, KDLS-30F, KDLS-40F, and KDLS-60F kettles have an optional steam-supply pressure range of 5–45 psi (34–310 kPa). The KDLS-20F, KDLS-30F, KDLS-40F, and KDLS-60F kettles have a specified steam-supply pressure range of 5–30 psi (34–205 kPa). The KDLS-20F, KDLS-30F, KDLS-40F, and KDLS-60F kettles have a steam supply connection of 3/4-inch IPS (19 mm). The kettle is constructed with all-welded satin-finish stainless steel, type 304. The KDLS-20F, KDLS-30F, KDLS-40F, and KDLS-60F kettles have a minimum side clearance of 3 inches (76 mm). The KDLS-20F, KDLS-30F, KDLS-40F, and KDLS-60F kettles have a minimum back clearance of 0.5 inches (13 mm).
