The Southbend KDPT-20, KDPT-30, KDPT-40, KDPT-60, and KDPT-80 kettles are tilting kettles. The KDPT-30 kettle has a capacity of 30 gallons (114 liters). The Southbend KDPT kettle uses direct steam connected to the kettle. The steam jacket of the Southbend KDPT kettle interior surrounds the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The Southbend KDPT kettle interior has double-wall construction. Construction is all welded, satin finish, stainless steel, type 304. The Southbend KDPT kettle's tilting mechanism is self-locking for positive stop action. The Southbend KDPT kettle is NSF certified.
