The Southbend KDPT kettle is a tilting kettle, rather than a stationary kettle. KDPT-60. The KDPT-60 kettle has a capacity of 60 gallons (227 liters). The Southbend KDPT kettle uses direct steam connected to the kettle. The direct steam supply for the Southbend KDPT kettle shall be at least 5 psi (34 kPa) and no more than 30 psi (206 kPa). The KDPT-SB kettle assembly has a 3/4 in IPS (19 mm) steam supply connection. The steam jacket of the Southbend KDPT kettle interior surrounds the lower 2/3 of the kettle. Construction is all welded, satin finish, stainless steel, type 304. The Southbend KDPT kettle's tilting mechanism is self-locking for positive stop action.
