The Southbend KDCT-6, KDCT-10, KDCT-12, and KDCT-20 kettles use direct-connected steam. The Southbend KDCT-6, KDCT-10, KDCT-12, and KDCT-20 kettles require direct steam at a minimum of 5 PSI (34 kPa) and a maximum of 45 PSI (310 kPa). The Southbend KDCT-12 kettle requires a pressure-reducing valve when incoming steam pressure exceeds 50 PSI (345 kPa). The Southbend Steam KDCT-6, KDCT-10, KDCT-12, and KDCT-20 kettles have a tilting configuration. The Southbend KDCT-6, KDCT-10, KDCT-12, and KDCT-20 kettles have a steam jacket around the lower 2/3 of the kettle. Standard features include a reversible tilt handle and a steam control valve. The Southbend KDCT-6, KDCT-10, KDCT-12, and KDCT-20 kettles shall be NSF Certified.
