The P36A-XX configuration has a convection-oven base. The P36XX sectional range has four open-top burners. Each open-top burner on the P36XX sectional range is rated at 45,000 BTU. Each Southbend P36A-XX unit is listed with natural gas input of 225,000 BTU/hour. The P36A-XX convection oven has a gas input of 45,000 BTU for the NAT version. The P36A convection oven has a porcelain enamel interior, three racks with five-position side rails, and a two-speed 1/2 hp blower motor. The oven-base models' thermostat has a temperature range of 175°F to 550°F. The range's front, sides, rear and exterior bottom are stainless steel, with fully insulated lining and burner box.
