The Southbend KELS-20, KELS-25, KELS-30, KELS-40, KELS-60, KELS-80, and KELS-100 tri-leg kettle has three supporting legs. The KELS-80 kettle has a capacity of 80 gallons (303 liters). The KELS-80 kettle has 18 kW available as standard electrical power. The KELS-40, KELS-60 and KELS-80 18-kW three-phase configuration draws 47.2 A per line at 220 V. The controls are integrally mounted and include a power switch, thermostat, pilot light, low water light, vacuum/pressure gauge, safety relief valve, and low water shut off. Construction is all welded #4 finish stainless steel, type 304. The steam jacket of the Southbend KELS-20 through KELS-100 steam kettle surrounds the lower two-thirds of the kettle. The Southbend KELS-20, KELS-25, KELS-30, KELS-40, KELS-60, KELS-80, and KELS-100 kettle uses a self-generating closed steam system. The KELS-SB kettle operates in a temperature range with a minimum of 165°F (74°C). The KELS-SB kettle operates in a temperature range with a maximum of 285°F (140°C).
