Category: Floor Steam Kettles. KDPS-30. The KDPS-30 kettle has a capacity of 30 gallons (114 liters). Each Southbend KDPS-20, KDPS-30, KDPS-40, KDPS-60, KDPS-80, and KDPS-100 kettle has a steam jacket around the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The Southbend KDPS-20, KDPS-30, KDPS-40, KDPS-60, KDPS-80, and KDPS-100 pedestal kettles are direct-steam connected. The Southbend KDPS-20, KDPS-30, KDPS-40, KDPS-60, KDPS-80, and KDPS-100 pedestal kettles require direct steam at a minimum of 5 PSI (34 kPa) and a maximum of 30 PSI (206 kPa). The liner of each Southbend KDPS-20, KDPS-30, KDPS-40, KDPS-60, KDPS-80, and KDPS-100 kettle is 316 stainless steel. Construction is all-welded satin-finish stainless steel, type 304. The standard convenience features include a perforated strainer with the sanitary draw-off valve, a spring-assist hinged counterbalanced stainless steel domed cover, and a faucet bracket. The bottom of the kettle is of hemispherical design for superior heat circulation. The KDPS-30 kettle has a minimum clearance of 3” (76 mm) at the sides.
