The Southbend KDLT kettle is a tilting kettle. The Southbend KDLT kettle is a direct-steam kettle. The KDLT-20 kettle has a capacity of 20 gallons (76 liters). The steam jacket formed by the Southbend KDLT kettle's double-wall interior surrounds the lower 2/3 of the kettle. The Southbend KDLT kettle's interior liner is standard 316 stainless steel for high-acid-content cooking. Construction shall be all welded #4 finish stainless steel type 304. The Southbend KDLT kettle requires incoming direct steam at a minimum of 5 PSI (34 kPa) and a maximum of 30 PSI (206 kPa). The Southbend KDLT kettle tilt mechanism permits the kettle to tilt forward a full 90°. The Southbend KDLT kettle's tilting mechanism is self-locking. The Southbend KDLT kettle's tilting mechanism provides positive stop action.
