The single-door upright ice storage bin provides manual ice removal with a scoop or shovel. The SG500S-30 ice storage bin has a maximum bin capacity of 460 lb (209 kg), calculated on the cubic volume of the bin; the figure does not reflect voids that can occur due to pyramiding. The bin is compatible with cube ice, flake ice and customer preferred Chewblet® ice. The bin has a full stainless exterior, a corrosion-resistant poly bin liner and top, a heavy duty “stay-open” PowerHinge™ door hinge for easy one-hand opening and closing without door catches, and a molded-in gasket that never needs to be replaced. The industry exclusive SmartGATE® ice shield controls the flow of ice to reduce spills and limit contact with ice. It locks in three positions and returns easily to the full down position even when the bin is full. The single-door upright ice storage bin measures 39.00 in (99.1 cm) in depth with the lower door assembly in place. The SG500S-30 ice storage bin is 30.00 in (76.2 cm) wide (W1). The SG500S-30 ice storage bin has an adjustable H1 height of 44.50 in (113.0 cm). The single-door upright ice storage bin drain has a 1.00 in FPT connection. For the single-door upright ice storage bin, a special top is required when the ice machine weighs more than 1,000 lb (454 kg). When the associated ice machine weighs more than 1,000 lb (454 kg) and the special-top condition applies, add 0.5 in (1.27 cm) to the single-door upright ice storage bin's H1 height.
