The Southbend P24-PP sectional range is 24 in (610 mm) wide, as dimensioned in the front view. The plancha griddle is a 1/2-inch-thick reinforced steel plate powered by cast iron burners, providing fast preheat and recovery time. Its high-heat zone, with maximum temperatures of 800°F, is located on the front 2/3 of the plate for quick sear, with decreased temperatures on the rear 1/3 of the plate for product finishing. Plancha units do not allow specific temperature operation. The range has two burners and two control knobs. The 24-inch sectional range uses battery spark ignition. The Southbend P24N-PP model has a gas input of 32,000 BTU/hour when configured for natural gas. Each Southbend P24-PP sectional unit requires a minimum gas supply pressure of 7 in W.C. for natural gas. The standard exterior finish is #3 polished 430 and 304 stainless steel on the front, sides, rear and exterior bottom. The range has an increased-capacity removable stainless steel grease drawer. The Southbend P24-PP sectional range requires 10 in (254 mm) minimum clearance from combustible construction at the sides. The Southbend P24-PP sectional range requires 12 in (305 mm) minimum clearance from combustible construction at the rear.
