The Southbend KELT-20F, KELT-30F, KELT-40F, and KELT-60F kettles are self-generating steam kettles. The KELT-60F kettle has a rated capacity of 60 gallons (227 liters). fuel type: electric. The 33 kW, 208 V, three-phase electrical configuration draws 91.6 amps per line. The kettle's tilt mechanism is sealed stainless steel, tilts the kettle forward a full 90° for complete emptying, and is self-locking for positive stop action. When the power switch is on and the temperature control knob is dialed, the temperature pilot light illuminates and contactors close to power the elements. Steam generation continues until the preselected temperature is reached; the cycle repeats as jacket-water temperature drops slightly, maintaining the selected cooking temperature. The jacket contains a permanent water-and-antifreeze solution that immerses and protects replaceable electric heating elements and provides the steam source. The kettles have an air vent and a safety valve. The kettles have a minimum side clearance of 0 inches. The kettles have a minimum back clearance of 0 inches.
