The Southbend KDLT direct-steam kettle has a tilting configuration. KDLT-60F. The KDLT-60F kettle has a rated capacity of 60 gallons (227 liters). The Southbend kettle's direct steam operation is specified at a minimum of 5 PSI (34 kPa) and a maximum of 30 PSI (207 kPa). The Southbend kettle liner is standard 316 stainless steel for high-acid-content cooking. Construction is all-welded stainless steel with a #4 finish, type 304. The kettle has a double-wall interior that forms a steam jacket around the kettle. Its bottom is hemispherical for superior heat circulation. The Southbend KDLT direct-steam kettle's forward tilt is for complete emptying. The tilting mechanism is self-locking for positive stop action.
