The controls are integrally mounted and include a power switch, thermostat, pilot light, low water light, vacuum/pressure gauge, safety relief valve, and low water shut off. The Southbend KELT kettle's interior liner is stainless steel type 316. The Southbend KELT kettle's steam jacket surrounds the lower two-thirds of the kettle. The tilt mechanism has self-locking positive-stop action. The kettle is self-generating; its jacket enclosure contains distilled water and is factory sealed.
