The griddle plate is 1 inch (2.54 cm) thick. An aluminized U-shaped steel burner is provided every 12 inches of cooking surface to provide even heat distribution. Star-Max gas griddles are constructed with stainless steel panel and double-wall aluminized steel side panels; the 4-1/2-inch-high tapered wrap-around stainless steel splash guard comes standard.
