Electric Steam Kettle Tilt Tri-Leg. KELT-40. The KELT-40 kettle has a capacity of 40 gallons (152 liters). KELT-40 kettles have 18 kW available as standard. The Southbend KELT kettle is specified for 220 VAC, 1 phase, 50/60 Hz operation for 12 to 18 kW only. The KELT-SB 18 kW, 1-phase electrical configuration draws 81.8 amps per line at 220 V. The kettle is self-generating; its jacket enclosure contains distilled water and is factory sealed. The Southbend KELT kettle's steam jacket surrounds the lower two-thirds of the kettle. interior liner is stainless steel type 316. The kettle is constructed with all-welded #4-finish stainless steel, type 304. The controls are integrally mounted and include a power switch, thermostat, pilot light, low water light, vacuum/pressure gauge, safety relief valve, and low water shut off.
